Driving Directions to the Gerontology Department and Institute
University of Massachusetts Boston
The URL (web page) given below provides instructions on how to get to the University of Massachusetts Boston via
different modes of transportation (car, subway, etc) and from a variety of directions.

We recommend that you take the subway ("T"), if possible. A bus will take you from the subway station (JFK/UMASS stop)
to the Campus Center. It is a short walk from the Campus Center to our Department/Institute.
Parking is difficult on campus because the main parking lots have been permanently closed. There is no specific visitor
parking. Here is a URL (web page) that contains a map of the campus identifying parking options. Parking is $6.

The Gerontology Department and Institute are located in Wheatley Hall, on the third floor. Once you get to Wheatley Hall,
take either of the two elevators to the third floor. When you get off the elevator on the third floor, you will see
overhead a blue sign indicating the direction of the Gerontology Institute. Follow these signs to the main office of the
Gerontology Institute. Enter the office and let the staff know who you are looking for and they will help you find the
right person. If the office is locked, there is a door bell you can push to get the attention of a staff person.
If after getting onto campus you get lost, you can always go to the second floor of any building where you can then take
the catwalk to any other building. Above the doorways of each entry way, you will find signs that direct you to whichever
building you are looking for.
