Title:

Access to Training Among Mature Workers in Massachusetts

Brief Description:

The study examines the extent to which publicly-funded opportunities are available to mature workers through Career Centers to upgrade their work skills. The study draws upon administrative files from the Massachusetts Department of Employment and Training and The Career Place (a career center) to examine the extent to which older people are using career centers and gaining access to publicly-funded employment-training. A report on the research findings is included in the Institute's working paper series. The study follows up on the Institute's previous work in support of the Blue Ribbon Commission on Older Worker Employment. A report on the research was published by the Institute in July 2004.
