associated with economic security and health status in later life. On

experience greater financial security. Most older people in the United
States earned no more than a high school degree (about 55% in both
Massachusetts and the United States), although Massachusetts seniors
are somewhat more likely to have completed high school. More seniors
in Massachusetts have also completed college with a bachelor's
degree or more (17.7% in Massachusetts compared to 15.4% in the United
States).
