Title:

Phased Retirement: Who opts for it and toward what end?

Brief Description:

The research will expand understanding of phased retirement by addressing three important questions: How do we define phased retirement? Do phased retirement options extend the work life or do they encourage early receipt of retirement benefits than would otherwise be the case in the absence of phased retirement? What are the consequences of phased retirement options on the financial well being of workers and their spouses?
